Wheel Skills Workshop

About this event

If you have prior wheel class experience and want to take your skills to the next level, this workshop is for you! Join John Backes as he guides you through wheel throwing techniques and "other tips of the trade."

Workshops will be held the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month starting February 11th through April 22nd. Each workshop will be posted separately on ClubExpress and registration is required for each date.  Sign up for 1, 2 or 3 dates! There is a maximum of 3 workshops per person. This is not a beginner class.

Objective: 
John will be observing your individual skill level to help you improve. The workshop will specifically work on fundamental techniques for centering, opening, pulling walls into cylinders or bowls, trimming and including clay preparation.

Attendees: Members Only (prior wheel class experience required)

Time: 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
(Cleanup will start at 3:00 pm)

Workshop Fee: $15
Service Fee: $1

Students Should Bring:
Six 1-lb balls of wedged clay ready to throw to each workshop as well as any of your personal wheel tools.
